*9:30 - 10:30 Jennifer Lineback, Ph.D. Professor of Biology at PLNU: Science Pedagogy: Using Student Ideas to Inform Teaching. For all grade levels

10:30 - 10:45 Break

*10:45 - 11:30 Dianne Anderson, Ph.D. Professor of Biology at PLNU: Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's): Myths, Facts and Important Questions. For all grade levels


*10:45 - 11:30 Andrew Knoll, Computer Science and Engineering Teacher at Cathedral Catholic High School: How to Implement Pre-Engineering and Robotics in Your School. For all grade levels. (Choose either session to attend.)

*11:30 - 12:15 Jeff Pratt, Ph.D., Director of Program & Curriculum Development at Horizon Prep: Integration of Science and Faith in the Classroom- The Essential Questions. For all grade levels

12:15 - 12:45 Lunch and sharing lesson plans/networking

*12:45 - 1:45 Jennifer Lambert, Junior High School Science/Advance Math and STEM Coordinator at All Hallows Academy, David Woltz, Science Dept. Chair at St. Martin of Tours Academy, & Julie Cantillon, Ph.D. Associate Director of Schools, Diocese of San Diego: NGSS and Lesson Plans. For all grade levels

*1:45 - 2:45 Small group activities for K-12 based on your interest (such as Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Elementary School Science). For all grade levels

*Opportunity to network and meet other science teachers from both Protestant and Catholic schools
*Bring your favorite lesson plans to share with other teachers

All sessions will be held at Horizon Prep. 6233 El Apajo Road, Rancho Santa Fe, CA 92067

Cost is $40 per teacher payable to The Barnabas Group and enter 'Science & Faith Alliance" in the memo section. Workshop costs are partially subsidized by Science & Faith Alliance. Scholarships are available. Great opportunity, but space is limited - so please register soon!
