Science Teachers Professional Development Day
on November 13, 2015

We had a great conference. Many teachers came together for a time of learning and connecting. Dr. Nick Yphantides, Chief Medical Officer of San Diego County, captivated everyone on the topic of vaccines and health, Dr. Kerry Fulcher, Provost at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU,) engaged his audience on the importance of integrating science and faith, Drs. Dianne Anderson and April Maskiewicz, professors at PLNU, shared excellent hands-on activities and practical learning science tools with the teachers, Carlos Andreiu, teacher at Santa Fe Christian (SFC), offered many good tips on how to get students interested in engineering and finally, Debbie Culley, teacher at SFC, shared easy and fun experiments aligned with NGSS.
